What's new this morning?

Ginger's with them; I'm going to put in some more time at work. We're crossing our fingers for openings at Peninsula. Still.

Some of you have asked how often we're able go up to see them. Ginger has been there every day since they were born; I've been there every day except two (or maybe three -- it's a bit of a blur). A typical weekday has consisted of Ginger getting a ride to S.F. in the early morning, and me going to pick her up in the late afternoon, sometimes with the boys.

I saw the girls' charts yesterday, and noted that doctor's orders are that they "may try recreational breastfeeding 1-2x per day." Yesterday Evelyn was "recreating" in this manner, and they used her NG tube and a syringe to draw up her stomach contents to see how well she was nursing. (Don't worry -- they put it back.) The syringe showed 6 cc, which is a lot less than a full feeding, but still more than purely "recreational." We hope she will soon lose her amateur status.
